FREE Mental Health First Aid Conversations about Gambling course is for any interested adult.

GambleAware Week 2022 takes place from Monday 17th - Sunday 23rd October. Join this FREE Mental Health First Aid Conversations about Gambling course to learn how to identify, approach and support someone experiencing gambling harm.

You will learn to 

• Recognise the signs that a person may be experiencing harm as a result of their gambling

• Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan

• Seek appropriate professional help, and

• Manage your own self-care when helping someone experiencing gambling harm.

You will also have the unique opportunity to hear directly from a Gambling Counsellor from GambleAware South Eastern Sydney and a Peer Educator from the Gambling Impact Society who will share their journey and recovery from problem gambling. 

The training is funded by a grant from NSW Office of Responsible Gambling and delivered in partnership with GambleAware South East Sydney, Gambling Impact Society NSW and MHFA, Australia. Lunch is provided. Everyone is welcome.
